Introduction

Motorsport is an area in which Britain leads the world.  The motorsport industry, the sport itself and government are working to make sure the UK keeps one step ahead.  Their partnership is known as Motorsport Development UK, or MDUK for short.

EEMS is one of the programmes that MDUK promotes, using the pursuit of energy efficiency to bring business to motorsport companies.  That's the primary purpose - but if it's done right, EEMS can also bring a new level of interest for spectators and potentially attract new sponsors as well.

Other MDUK projects include the Learning Grid - a set of activities for young people, the Motorsport Academy - improving qualifications and provision, widening participation in the sport and helping develop the industry both in the UK and abroad.  All of these projects are aimed at sustaining and developing this world-leading industry.
