Redundancies at Super Aguri F1 team

28th November 2007

The Leafield, UK based Super Aguri Racing Formula One team has confirmed that it has launched a 30-day redundancy process that is expected to result in the loss of up to 30 jobs.

Emma Bearpark, spokesperson for the team which currently employs 120 people and has been seeking new investment during 2007, said, "We have said all year we are a small team. We are beginning our third year now and all year we have said we required extra funding. What we are doing now is unfortunate. We hope that the people identified are able to get jobs in other parts of the company or the Formula 1 industry."
