The UK motorsport cluster has for decades maintained a leading global position. The Panel believes, however, that a series of urgent co-ordinated actions is required in order to ensure that this position is retained, in the face of increasing overseas competition and global economic pressures. These recommended actions would strengthen both the sport and the industry that it generates, as well as creating new opportunities for motorsport to broaden its links with other sectors.
