Centre for Automotive Research
The Center for Automotive Research (CAR) was created in October 2000 at the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM).Its purpose is to conduct research in significant issues related to the future direction of the global automotive industry and organize and conduct forums of value to the automotive community.

EMTA is the Engineering and Marine Training Authority. It is the National Training Organisation (NTO) for engineering. It sets occupational standards and represents the skill and training interests of employers in a range of industrial sectors including the automotive sector.

Engineering Learning Link
Engineering Learning Link from EMTA is free registration information resource for employers and employees on training/learning opportunities in the engineering sector.

The IMI is an international professional body for individuals employed in the automotive industry and associated sectors. The Institute is also a leading awarding body for motor industry qualifications covering an ever widening range of disciplines. It's education and training programmes continue to raise skill levels, in line with it's mission, to improve progressively the professional standards of individuals throughout the motor industry.

Institution of Mechanical Engineers
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is the UK's qualifying body for mechanical engineers. The organisation represents around 82,000 engineers world-wide and has a specific Automobile Division with 18,000 members and 11 UK regional centres.

Professional Engineering Publishing
Professional Engineering Publishing Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers . It publishes a range of scholarly journals, magazines and other products.

The SIA is the Society of Automotive Engineers in France. The organisation has over 2000 members. The SIA web site contains a range of information (in French) on SIA activities including events, publications and learning opportunities.
