F1 eyes Indian street race

According to a report on the grandprix.com website Formula One impresario Bernie Ecclestone is currently favouring the staging of a proposed Formula One Indian Grand Prix on a street circuit in the national capital of Delhi.
The cities of Calcutta, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai have also been linked with projects to build circuits to stage such a race in recent years. To date none have progressed beyond the discussion stage.
