Ontario government invests $CA650-million fund in green automotive technologies

20th June 2007

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty yesterday announced the Canadian province’s ‘Next Generation Jobs Fund’, which will make $650 million available to companies looking to invest in the development of clean cars, clean fuels, and clean technologies and products in Ontario.

The fund will be modelled after the $500 million Ontario Automotive Strategy, which the provincial government says has helped to attract over $7 billion in total new automotive investments in the province over the past four years.
