Motorsport's unsung heroes recognised by MIA business excellence awards
14th January 2005 (Source: MIA )
Racing drivers may grab the headlines, but their efforts would get nowhere without the many businesses that come together to put competitive cars on the grid. To recognise the UK motorsport industry's high achievers from the past year, the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) last night (Thursday January 13) announced the winners of its coveted Business Excellence Awards during its annual Awards Dinner at Autosport International, held at the NEC, Birmingham.
Any motorsport company is eligible to win one of the sought-after awards, with MIA members registering their nominations in each of the seven categories. This means the winners have gained the respect and support of their peers in the industry, making the awards event a real high point in the business year.
Taking place on the evening of the first day of the Autosport International Show (NEC, Birmingham, January 13-16), the Awards Dinner was attended by an audience of over 500 senior business guests drawn from across the international motorsport community.
