This publication looks at the manufacturing productivity gap between the US and the UK and examines what needs to be done in the UK to close the gap. The report also includes the results of a survey of EEF member companies on possible reasons for the productivity gap including barriers to investment, the uptake of lean manufacturing, use of workplace initiatives and issues surrounding firms ability to attract the right people.
