Summary

The report outlines the results of a feasibility study into the role of Energy Efficient Motorsport could play in the development of environmentally friendly automotive technologies. The results surprised even some on the working group: the report concludes that not only is this possible, but it represents one of the main opportunities for motorsport to re-connect to its automotive roots.

This theme was taken up by the joint DTI and industry body, the Motorsport Competitiveness Panel. Its report recommended the creation of a full EEMS programme, under the guidance of Motorsport Development UK (MDUK).
